I believe that every person already has the answers they need and my role is to ask the right questions to help discover them.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist offering in-person and online psychotherapy services for adults struggling with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and perinatal mental health issues (prenatal and postpartum).
I take a humanistic approach to how I connect and support my clients. Specifically, I look at the whole individual and their goals, motivations, potential for growth and ability to thrive.
The first session will be a more formal intake interview; I will ask questions and gather information about what brings you to therapy, what your current stressors are, and what your mental health history has been.
From there, we will establish goals and discuss expectations. Each session will be an opportunity to check in on the past week, review progress made, and talk about anything that has come up since our last session.
Some weeks, we will pick up where we left off; other weeks, we might talk about a new stressor or event that has occurred. Progress will be monitored by how you are feeling, if and when your goals have been reached, and the feedback you give me.
If you would like, I can assign homework, but it’s not always necessary. From my experience, therapy works best with those who are motivated to change, open to feedback, and willing to explore uncomfortable feelings.
I am passionate about working with individuals who desire relief and personal growth from life’s challenges. I believe that examining, challenging, and changing our unhelpful thoughts and beliefs can have a profound and lasting impact on how we feel.
The job of a therapist has been described as “helping others” but I disagree - I help others help themselves. I look forward to helping you.
